The Cape Town Life

So, what do we have to report from one of the world's most beautiful cities....not too much, other than the fact that we're really enjoying ourselves. This is a super trendy city with a mountain in the background and ocean only a 30 min. walk from the city centre. There are surf shops and coffee shops on every street corner and cool cafes and restaurants everywhere else.

We've been passing our time eating at "Noodlebosch", drinking coffee and cappucino's, and just walking through the city looking at all the cool shops. Our plans have been on hold a bit since we can't rent a car until tomorrow (every rental place is all booked up!).

In the meantime I've come up with a few different reasons about how South Africa has changed my life:

1. I'm going to become a professional cricket bowler.
2. I am going to become a pro surfer (when I'm not playing cricket).
3. I'm going to open a Noodlebosch in Niagara on the Lake.
That's the list so far....I may add to it yet. Tomorrow we're off to the Cape of Good Hope! Until then....hang ten!

Hmm You store may have to be dug out There is a winter storm watch here and they are calling for :

A winter storm developing over Oklahoma this afternoon is expected to intensify and move towards the lower Great Lakes tonight. This storm has a potential to bring significant snowfall to parts of southern Ontario.

Present indications are that snow associated with the storm will begin early Tuesday morning over the extreme southwest and spread to near Lake Ontario by midday. General snowfall amounts are expected to be in the 10 to 15 centimetres range on Tuesday and another 15 centimetres are possible Tuesday night..Local amounts over Burlington - Oakville Niagara and City of Hamilton areas could be 10 to 20 centimetres higher due to snowsquall activities from Lake Ontario Tuesday morning and lake enhanced snowfall when the main snowfall area arrives in the afternoon.

You may want to prepare yourself for the cold!!!!!

4. You're going to dedicate your life to promoting more global warming so we can experience great weather in Canada too.

5. You're going to train one side of your body for swimming (and surfing) and the other side for cricket and see which looks cooler.

6. Oh, visit those lost people in Alberta.

7. Return to Africa as soon as you set foot off the plane in Canada.

That's all I've got! Glad to see you guys are enjoying yourselves! We just went outside today for a few minutes and it was cold, bringing my bitterness to a whole new level! Long live snow...
